Rubber Band Powered car jumps 50 cm

Laura Johnston asked "I need to make a rubber band powered car that starts on a flat surface and then goes off a ramp and the back weals need to hit the ground at 50 cm after the ramp. The only rule is that the car must be more than 100 grams.". I just used one of my existing simple rubber band powered cars and set up a ramp in my kitchen. It managed the task fine and I weighed it afterwards because I forgot during the video. It is 136 grams.

Generally my projects are for my grandchildren to enjoy. OK, I enjoy them too. If anybody else likes them, that is a bonus. I like to keep my work as simple and basic as possible so that it can be copied easily and improved by anybody who wants to try themselves. I recycle or repurpose items rather than buy new and when I do buy I like to keep it cheap.
